I wanted to share some of these beautiful photos of my cousin Nadia for a more important reason other than she is just absolutely stunning.

Nadia and her two younger sisters tragically lost their mother when they were all under the age of 10. She quickly grew up and learned to take care of her sisters. At the age of 9 she practically became a mother, though my grandmother took over raising the girls Nadia was their biggest support system. Her strength amazes me.

However, her story has a happy ending. Life has come full circle and in a few months she will be giving birth to a sweet little boy. I’m so proud of the woman she has become, strong, driven & kind. I’m amazed by her power to overcome this tragedy. I could not be luckier to call this beautiful woman my family.
